Employment Counseling
Our attorneys are adept at providing advice and counseling in a broad range of employment-related issues. Prior to joining the Firm, partner Matt Ray was the head of the labor and employment practice for the Dallas office of one of the world’s largest law firms. Matt has written and spoken extensively on employment law, including co-authoring chapters on Employer-Employee Relations and Employment Litigation in the Texas Litigation Guide, and teaching Employment Litigation at SMU Law School. Matt has extensive experience counseling clients on a wide range of employment issues, including issues arising under federal and state anti-discrimination laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and issues relating to employee noncompete agreements, executive employment contracts, and independent contractor classification issues. Matt also has developed arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution programs.
